Clare's fund for Alopecia UK
I’m going to BRAVE the SHAVE! In August last year I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata, a condition that causes patches of hair loss.
This year has been one of the toughest for me and no one can prepare you for the impact that hair loss has on your life.
In the past few months the patches have grown considerably and I have decided to brave the shave (of the remaining hair) for charity.
I have chosen Alopecia UK as they provide support, research and awareness for people suffering from hair loss. I aim to have this done on Friday the 6th of October. So dig deep everyone!!!
Alopecia UK's mission is to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia through aims of Support, Awareness & Research. Support: We will provide impartial information, advice & support to help people feel less isolated. Awareness: We will raise awareness to the general public & healthcare professionals about alopecia and its psychological impact. Research: We will provide hope and confidence by funding research into causes, with the aim of finding treatments, and ultimately, a cure.
