Clarendon College Sporting Facility for Champions
Donation protected
Clarendon College in the hills of Chapelton, Clarendon Jamaica, the Destined Class of 83 in conjunction with the Clarendon College Past Student Association (PSA), are determined to raise funds to restore our playing field used for all Sports - Soccer, Track and Field, Cricket, Physical Education and other Sporting Events.
The field is in a deplorable condition and is currently unfit for any Sports. Our field has developed many brilliant athletes throughout the years in many disciplines such as
The All-Conquering '77 Dacosta Cup Team featuring Lenworth Hyde, Dennis Hutchinson, O'Neil Russell and so many more athletes right up to the Champion Teams of 2018 and 2019, along with Andre Russell one of the world's best T20 cricketers. Clarendon College has won Boy's Championships on three occasions and also developed extremely talented female athletes who have represented Jamaica.
Presently, that storied field has fallen upon hard times. We have not been able to host a DaCosta Cup game for the past three years and players are unable to practice due to unsafe conditions. A generation of students are missing out on seeing their heroes perform at Tavanore - a pleasure that some of us took for granted in the past. Not to mention, a much-needed space where students can fulfill their Physical Education requirements to stay active and maintain a healthy lifestyle. We need our field back and we need your help to restore it.
Tavanore - "A Field of Dreams"
Please support our GoFundme effort. All funds raised will go towards Clarendon College Sports Projects.
