Clarence Westerhoud fundraiser

Hello, our names are Brad and Jeff and we are fundraising to help our dad Clarence.

Dad was involved in an accident on Thursday July 11 dad was involved in an accident when he was out for a bike ride He was flown to Foothills hospital and is currently in ICU. He has been incubated since arriving at the Lethbridge hospital and is still needing the help to breath properly. He has some significant damage to his head with a fractured skull, brain bleed, bruising to the right side of his brain, broken collar bone, broken nose and multiple broken bones in his face. He has since developed a chest infection that is getting treated to mitigate the coughing when he is taken off the sedation and steroids to help his body fight off the infections.

When he was first admitted to the hospital he had no movement on his left side and very little on the right. He is slowly progressing and is now able to move both his legs and his arms while the nurses and doctors are checking his pain tolerances.

We are gathering donations to help with unexpected travelling costs to help his wife Karen be by his side and ongoing bill payments as this will be a very long road to recovery. Any donations are very greatly appreciated as we navigate through this very tough time.
