Clare Stafford's recovery
Donation protected
On Saturday, September 2nd, a wonderful and amazing young woman was travelling home and was involved in a near fatal accident. A man fleeing the scene of another accident crossed over into on coming traffic causing a head on collision with her. Clare was trapped in her car for 2 hours while emergency services worked diligently to free her. She was rushed to a trauma center in Orlando where this strong woman is fighting for her life in ICU. She has multiple compound fractures to her legs and arms as well as multiple broken bones in her hands, and feet. She has two major arteries in her head and neck that are blocked (one is 100% blocked and the other is 80%). Amongst these injuries Clare has received 4 pints of blood and fighting diligently for survival. She is a fighter by nature and her strength is truly amazing. She has many surgeries ahead of her to repair the damage caused by this irresponsible man.
This beautiful 25 year old women has a support team larger than life and though We are hopeful and her family is by her side day and night it is up to her to fight this battle and win. Clare is a vibrant and beautiful young woman who has a full life ahead of her. She is intelligent and magnificent, bringing laughter and joy to those who know her and she is destined for wonderful things.
We are asking for donations to help offset the long term cost of her recovery and for medical supplies outside of the hospital. (I.E. hospital bed, therapy, medication, etc.) We know the road to recovery will be long and costly, so we are trying to prepare for it the best we can. Anything helps and is appreciated more than we could ever express.
We strongly advise people to think twice before drinking and driving as we are heart broken over the struggle this beautiful soul is having to endure and do not wish it upon anyone else as it has been the hardest thing to stand by and helplessly watch and pray for Clare Stafford.
