Hi, my name is Wendy, and I’m Clare’s aunty.
I’ve created this fundraiser to support my niece and her family through an incredibly tough time.
Clare is a bright, loving 8-year-old girl adored by her twin sister Alice, her mum and dad, her siblings, and our whole family.
She was recently diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of leukaemia and is undergoing intensive treatment at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Sadly, chemotherapy alone won’t save her — she urgently needs a stem cell transplant which she is going to Sydney for on the 19th of November.
On top of this, Clare’s bones have become so fragile they’ve started breaking. Both her legs are in casts, yet she continues to face every day with strength and courage that amazes us all.
Her family, from the small town of Price near Ardrossan, are staying at Ronald McDonald House to be close to Clare. The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming, to make things even harder, their rental home is being sold, and they must move just as they prepare to travel to Sydney.
My sister and her husband are barely holding it together.
Any funds we raise here will go towards furniture storage, moving costs and the loss of income— so hopefully we can ease some of the stress that is weighing on them.
Every donation, share, prayer, and kind word means the world to us
Please share and support brave little Clare as she fights for a healthy future and the chance to one day walk again xoxo
