Clara's Emergency Car Repairs

Hi everyone!

I hesitated to make this GoFundMe because so many of you have already been so amazingly supportive of me in so many different ways and at so many different times, and I really don’t want to seem unappreciative or to take advantage of your kindness. So I promised myself I’d only do this type of fundraiser in the event of an emergency.

Over the holidays—right before Christmas actually—I got in a small car accident. The only other parties were a big patch of ice, and a curb. I was not hurt, but unfortunately, my car was.

On the advice of friends more car-savvy than myself, I took my car to a trusted mechanic immediately, and it turns out that curb did a good amount of damage. As a result of that collision, my little Honda Civic needed a new strut, shock absorber, wheel bearing, and tie rod, plus the new tires I was already overdue for that (most likely) would have prevented the collision in the first place.

All of that added up fast. As much as I love my art career, it probably won’t come as a surprise that it doesn't make me a lot of money. This car bill basically represents the entire contents of my bank account at the moment.

So, if you are so inclined, just know that even a few dollars would help me out immensely as I try to get this bill paid down. Whatever you can do, I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.
