This is Clarabelle and her new little human, Aria (It's hard to tell who's who, right? lol). Clarabelle loves to sleep, snore, cuddle and wiggle around on her back, across the carpet sideways. She learned her new name quickly and looks to me eagerly for cues and encouragement...and honestly, I have never me a dog more willing to learn.
Clarabelle is the name I gave her. My sister, Justine, rescued her. It just so happened that my sister saw a truck peel-out from the side of the road, sending a HUGE plume of dust clouds into the air... so of course, she pulled to the side of the road to see what they had dropped-off...because the situation did not look right...
And there was Clarabelle. My sister could see immediately that Clarabelle was female. Her body shows the signs of having had to bear several litters of puppies, naturally. So basically....they just threw her away when they were done with her.
French Bulldogs are supposed to undergo Cesarean procedures due to their body size...the vet said that Clarabelle has had at least 5 litters of puppies in her approximate 4 years of life. All of them naturally. Due to the stress of her litters, she developed a very large external hernia that must be operated on as soon as possible.
This procedure can be done at the same time that she is spayed. Yes, we are spaying her.
In addition, she has a very large tumor on her front right leg that, so far, has not tested positive for Cancer...but it is getting larger, quickly. At this time it's bigger than a large egg. When I got her a month ago it was the size of a small egg.
Clarabelle is so loved, now...She's part of a family, now.
And if we can get these procedures done, she can still live a full life.
We are so grateful to have this beautiful girl in our lives, hopefully for a very long time. Thank you for reading. Thank you for considering. We would be so grateful for any help at all towards her medical expenses which are estimated to be about $2,200. We are asking for $2,300 to cover taxes and fees for gofundme.
