Let's help Clara Nkemasong Fight Lung Cancer

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Pascal Etiendem, and together with Dr Nkemzi Gaetan, we are hosting the Gofundme to raise money to help Clara Nkemasong fight lung Cancer.

Clara Nkemasong recently entered the united states from Cameroon. She is one of the victims of the current crisis that is ongoing in southern Cameroon. She migrated to the United States. Clara Nkemasong is currently waiting for her refugee status to be determined by the court. Three months ago, Clara started having symptoms of what appeared to be a common cold. At first, she was diagnosed with pneumonia and given antibiotics which did not help. She later started having difficulties breathing, collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. At the hospital, it was realized she had fluid in her lunch. All attempt was made to drain the fluid but she kept producing more and more. The fluid was tested and found to be cancerous. Multiple tests have been done and she is diagnosed with advanced lung cancer, and immediate chemotherapy is recommended.
A tube has been placed and she drains an average of 600ml of fluid a week.

The greatest challenge at this time is to get chemotherapy started for Clara. She is new in the United States and has nothing. With the help of El Rio Healthcare, she has been linked to an oncologist who is following her up and her current bills are funded by El Rio and a few friends and family around. A port has been placed for her to start chemotherapy, but it has been more than a month since it was placed but chemo has not been started because of a lack of funds.
The oncologist states the recommended drug that will help her costs $15,000 a dose and she will need four doses. This put the cost of treatment currently at $60,000, just for the chemo alone. Because Clara does not have a social security number yet, her sources of funding are very limited, and if she must beat this cancer, she will have to rely on the goodwill of those who read and are touched by her story to contribute. To make things worse, what she is battling is not something that can wait. She recently went to the emergency room as a result of severe pain and a series of tests were done. Luckily for her, all her labs are still ok, and cancer has not metastasized. She has been advised to start chemo as soon as possible because that will not last for long. Clara is also currently witnessing increased pain and increased fluid draining from her lungs.

We can't just surrender and say $60,000 is too much and leave this 51-year-old, a mother of 7 and a husband, who are all back in Cameroon and depend on her, at the mercy of lung cancer. No donation to support her will be small. Please donate what you have and pass the word to your friend or family to do the same. We believe, they are good and generous people out there, and that we can collectively give her another chance in life. The oncology team is waiting for her to make a down payment of at least $34000 to start Chemo.

Thank you so much for your generosity
