WHO WE ARE
Clapping Hands Farm is an arts and nature camp serving children, families, and adults, located ¾ of a mile down a gravel road near Pittsboro, North Carolina. We are off the grid, with acres of woods and fields, a fairy forest, trails, a pond, hand-pumped well water, use-your-foot sinks, and solar power. We have created, and are committed to sustaining, a diverse camp community with racial balance, economic access, and inclusive of campers with disabilities and life challenges.
OUR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Clapping Hands Farm has a simple camp fee policy: No One Turned Away. Lots and lots of our campers come on scholarship every season. In 2023 over 40% of our campers received scholarship assistance.
In 2024 we are excited to be planning a full schedule of summer camps and year round programs with a full complement of campers for the first time since before the pandemic. We anticipate giving out over $50,000 worth of scholarship assistance.
WAYS TO DONATE

OUR GOALS
Our first goal is to raise $25,000 for our scholarship program.
We hope to meet that goal and reach for the next goal, which will contribute to increased $ support for our staff, and some infrastructure projects.
We also aim to engage 250 donors!! We have lined up matching donors that will give $10 for every donor that contributes! This means a $5 becomes $15! A $10 donation becomes $20 etc! SMALL DONATIONS and large really do count!
