Claire's Journey Fighting Heart Failure
Donation protected
Claire is an amazing woman as many of you know. She’s funny, vibrant resilient, and such a caring person. She would get the shirt off of her back for anybody. She’s an amazing daughter, wife and friend to anybody she meets.
As some of you may know she was admitted to the hospital last Wednesday when she started to feel sick in the middle of the night. She went to urgent care and with an abnormal EKG they sent her to the hospital. After that several other tests were ran to determine the cause. We found out many things about Claire that we did not know.
Claire has an enlarged heart, tachycardia, walking pneumonia, and fluid on her lungs. All of this has came to the diagnosis that she is in heart failure. The bottom left ventricle of her heart was working at 10%.
In addition, she is in a fib and a test result came back that she does have blood clots in her heart. They have to get the blood clots under control before they can convert her a fib. If they did it now, a conversion can cause more problems. The doctors have a plan and we are confident with a continued stint in the hospital they can get it under control, however this will leave Claire with continued pharmacy and doctors visits throughout her lifetime.
Of course this a shock to all of us. We are all very sad and scared for her.
She was admitted to the ICU Wednesday, and is currently still at St. Luke’s hospital. She is making progress, which we are all very thankful for and the prayers are working!
Now comes the time we can all come together to help out Claire and her new husband Davon as they start their life together. As stated previously, these two are always the ones giving, feeding others, and being there for anyone that needs it. They are very prideful and wouldn't ask for support if it wasn't absolutely needed.
Claire has to be off work for an undetermined amount of time, as a hair stylist, she will not be paid through her employer for time off.
As the medical bills come in and the appointments start to fill up her calendar, they could really use some help with the financial part of this.
Claire is a fighter, nothing can stop her, especially when she has her family, Husband, and strong support system around her. When she is discharged from the hospital, she has a long journey and lifestyle change ahead that she will need all her family and friends support through.
Any dollar amount helps and if you can't give, a prayer and/or share would be appreciated just as much.
If you would rather send money directly Davon's Venmo is @Davon-Bragg.
