We are fundraising for my dear friend Claire and her family during her battle with breast cancer. In August of 2021, Claire received the unnerving news that she has breast cancer. Immediately setting up discussions with surgeons and her doctors to schedule what they hoped would be a smooth successful procedure. With Corona Virus delays in the many hospitals, they planned the earliest surgery to remove 3 lymph nodes and complete her double mastectomy on November 9th 0f 2021.

While this surgery went well with the news that cancer had not seemed to reach her lymph node, she has had to overcome much during her healing such as keeping her drains clean and scary drops in blood pressure which had her pain medicine on restrictions. The worst news came on November 17th when her breast surgeon informed Claire and her family of another spot on her breast that was originally thought to be scar tissue resulting from a previous reduction, this spot however was actually more cancer. She will be going back in for surgery just before the Holidays, on December 7th. Her doctors are unsure at this time whether she will need chemo after this second surgery. We are all hopeful and pray over the doctors that meet her.

Due to these circumstances Claire, her family, and amazing caregivers are in need of financial support. As they would never ask or show any need for such aid I have created this Gofundme in their honor. All donations are appreciated and will help Claire towards her health care deductible and bills as well as rent while she and her partner/caregiver are away from work.
