Claire's First Birthday

One year ago, on March 11, 2019,  a precious baby girl was born asleep. We were able to hold her beautiful 8lb 3oz frame in our arms but the bright light she was named for was already gone from this Earth.

Claire Piper is one year grown in our hearts. To celebrate and honor her birthday, we want to offer the opportunity to partner together on behalf of Claire, Rachel, and Daniel to raise the money necessary to donate a Cuddle Cot to Presbyterian Hospital where Claire was born. 

Rachel and Daniel were able to spend several days with their daughter before they left the hospital. This was possible because of a specialized cradle called a Cuddle Cot which kept Claire cool and allowed her parents, grandparents, and others to memorize the details of her face, kiss her sweet head, hold her in their arms to say prolonged good byes. Through the fog of such tragedy, this opportunity was a Godsend for Rachel and Daniel.

In Claire's memory, they want to extend the opportunity of those precious extra moments to any other parent who faces such a day. 

We wish we could be bringing Claire Piper gifts and laughing as she smashes into cake on her first birthday. However, by coming together to offer this unique gift, we can do something to honor her memory and to bless the families of precious lives cut short like Claire's.
