I was accepted into the elite concert choir of the Children's Chorus of Maryland.  This was quite an accomplishment because this rarely happens.  Normally a singer must work their way up from the more junior choirs in CCM before being accepted into Concert Choir! What an honor.   I received a partial scholarship to take the required music theory classes.  

Now, I have received the special honor to attend the Pacific International Choral festival at the University of Oregon under the leadership of reknown guest conductor and composer, Bob Chilcott.  CCM singers will join forces with other choirs from around the US and abroad to prepare a massed concert.  In addition we will perform on our own for the other choirs and nearby  in the Eugene community.  We will be treated to an individual workshop session with Mr. Chilcott where he will give artistic feedback to and work with our CCM singers alone.  

In order to take advantage of this opportunity I must fund my expenses which amount to nearly $3,000 including airfare, workshop, and room and board.   My mom works full time and supports herself and my 2 sisters and I on her income as a teacher, and my grandfather helps as he is able.   So this amount of money is really tough and I am trying to raise $1,500 or more to help my mom (and me) swing the cost of this.   

Vocal performance keeps me going and it would mean so much to me to be part of this special, once in a life time oportunity to work with a reknown vocal conductor.
