Claire lost a house and needs a new quad

Howdy y’all, Kate Trower here. Many of you have been reaching out to check on my mom Claire and make sure she is alright after losing our beloved rental house ‘Hawk Creek’ a few days ago to a fire.

Everyone who knows my mom knows how community minded and altruistic she is. That being said, asking for and receiving help even in a time of loss and need, are not things that she finds easy to do.

For those of you wanting and able to be of practical, hands-on assistance to Claire, she will gladly and gratefully receive all of the help that the community can provide with cleaning up the fire debris. Once we have some dates for a clean-up work party or two, they will be announced and communicated.

I have also negotiated with mom for her approval to set up this GoFundMe account so that the community also has the option to contribute funds toward buying Claire a new quad. Her old quad is very old and banged up and currently not running. A new and reliable ‘work horse’ will greatly enable Claire to live her best rural life, retrieve the mail, feed the horse, maintain the fire house, and move back and forth between the clean up and eventual construction site of whatever will come next.

Mom also wants to encourage expressions of love and appreciation to be directed to things in the community like Honeydew Fire, MRC, Grange Pancake Breakfasts and such.
