Hi,
My name is Stacey and I am fundraising for my colleague and friend Claire who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. Claire's cancer was discovered via routine screening and although it was a huge shock, Claire has dealt with it with minimum fuss and a lorry load of courage.
Claire has a beautiful young family who have encouraged her to share her journey on social media in the hope that this will give her the strength to cope with the process.
The aim of the fundraiser is to gain enough funds to allow Claire a family holiday following her treatment. Some of the team in Claire's place of work are coming up with fundraising ideas, I will update this page with any info as I have it.
Claire has handled this situation with dignity and grace. Her strength has been unbelievable at times, especially as she is a single parent. It would be wonderful to gain the funds to allow Claire a much deserved holiday with her children.
Claire's colleagues are doing a number of fundraising events to support.
Laura is running 5 - 10k races in December, this is a huge personal challenge as Laura is fairly new to running, she will be running one of the races on her birthday too :)
The whole team are wearing teal and white on Thursday the 21st of November and running a cake sale.
Some more active members of the team are planning a 'trek' details to be released soon.
