Asking for help is not easy for me.  It is not my nature to consider using GoFundMe for something other than extreme emergency aid and medical funding.  However,  I have realized three very important points.  Some people have funds and feel good when they can help others.  Second, it’s ok to ask for help.  Third, it’s ok to accept help.  Thank you for understanding my plea and considering to help my business.

Many people call me a healer and a significant part of their health care.  I work together with clients who are stressed, in pain or in discomfort.  I offer a physical space for anatomical, emotional and spiritual healing and unwinding.  My business is a small storefront with a lobby & single treatment room.  I have three independent contractors who rent the space for under market value, because I care about all of us making an affordable living wage.  We all take turns to run an efficient office space with extended operating hours for our clients. 

In hearing the CDC guidelines and under the ‘shelter in Place ‘ order,  we have cancelled all massage and bodywork sessions through April 8th to participate in virus spread prevention.   Although this date is highly unlikely to be our reopening date. 

Since it is hard for me to sit still, I have changed from sewing neck pillows (which I sell as a part of my retail store) to sewing cloth face masks in an effort to help fulfill the current need in our community.  I am offering these face masks for free or donation and am using my business sewing supply inventory to do this.   I am grateful I can contribute where I can during this crisis. 

In closing, I appreciate you reading this GoFundMe page and considering my business as a worthwhile investment.  In the meantime, I will continue to address each day one moment at a time as this situation continues to unfold.
