Hello, my friends in all the world. I address everyone who carries in his heart humanity and the love of freedom, dignity and justice. I am Ismail Suleiman Abu Amra, I reside in Belgium. Rue des Sports 27
7700 MOUSCRON ...I am conducting a fundraising campaign to help my sister, Manar Suleiman Abu Amra, to save her and her family residing in Gaza, due to the restrictions imposed on the Gaza Strip and the difficulty of establishing donation campaigns there. The interruption of the Internet, communications, and electricity makes it difficult and exhausting for them to communicate with the world and friends who support Gaza. She appointed me to ask for support on her behalf because she is exhausted by their harsh circumstances, and she trusts me very much. This is her story that she tells you, so that it may touch your heart and feel it.
My name is Manar Abu Amra, I live in Gaza City. I graduated as a laboratory physician. I write to you with a heavy and broken heart. It's difficult for me to be in this situation. After much thought and hesitation, the urgent need outweighs my family's and my own ability to cope. I am happily married to my husband Mu'tasim, and we have two daughters whom I love dearly, Habeba aged 4 years and Hour 10 months. They light up our world; I see them as the most beautiful and intelligent girls. What I fear the most is losing them. We were striving hard to achieve our personal goals and ambitions, building our future step by step, filled with love and hope. We had a beautiful and comfortable home where we put all our money, and we were pursuing our own businesses. In the blink of an eye, the occupation destroyed and burned everything we owned. We became homeless and without anything.
For seven months, each passing day is worse than the one before. We are dying with every moment from the continuous bombing and displacement, fear, hunger, sadness, and the spread of diseases in the camp due to pollution, rising prices, and the anxiety of the unknown. We endured hell and horror for a long time; our mental health has deteriorated. We lost family members, homes, and our savings. The living conditions became unbearable. We either live in makeshift tents made of wood and nylon, which I can't afford to buy, or live in a high-rent room with a large number of people. We don't exactly know what to do or where to go. There is no safe place in Gaza. Every day, I sleep while fearing for my children. I want to protect them from all this fear, but the circumstances are beyond my capacity. I talk to myself and say, "Before the war, I never thought of leaving my city to the extent that my wish was to board a plane. But after this devastating aggression on my city, why don't I consider emigrating for the sake of my family's life? The choice might be extremely painful, but the situation has become unbearable." But I back down from this thought and say to myself that my deep love for my city makes me stay to rebuild it. My family and I will not betray our homeland and be cowardly and flee as the enemy wants. I will not abandon my right; I will hold onto my land until death, and I will raise my daughters accordingly. As for my lost home, I will rebuild it and make it even more beautiful than before. I will consider this war an opportunity to renovate my home and rebuild our businesses. My heart is filled with hope and optimism, and I will spread it among people.
The goal of seeking support:
My goal is to rebuild my lost home, return to my own business, contribute to rebuilding my city, and live there a dignified and secure life with the basics of life available, without seeking luxury. The least my children deserve is clean and healthy water and food, to sleep safely and comfortably in their home with electricity available, to go to school to learn, to have toys and friends. But with the war, all of this has become non-existent in Gaza, where my city has been destroyed, taking decades to rebuild and make it suitable for a decent life.
I need your financial support so that my family and I can return to life again and start anew on a journey full of hope towards a better life. Don't let us down in Gaza, like the law has let us down. Our plea is simple: we just want to live.
Why your support matters:
Your contribution is more than just financial support; it represents solidarity, mercy, and commitment to human rights and dignity in these difficult times. The Palestinian cause is not just an Arab or Islamic issue; it is a humanitarian issue that affects all humans. If you do not support it, you need to question your humanity. Your assistance, whether small or large, can make a significant difference in preserving my family's life and alleviating its suffering. Please consider sharing my campaign widely with friends and the community to reach the goal as quickly as possible because every moment represents a danger of death.
As humans, you are all responsible for what is happening in Gaza. I have done my utmost to show the world our reality, and now the world needs to show where it stands.
Thank you once again for standing with us in solidarity and making a positive impact on my life and the lives of the afflicted people of Gaza. I am hopeful for your support and generosity...
