Chris Knutson

In October 2018, Chris Knutson was diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer, Stage 3A. Two tumors were discovered in his left lung, one attached to the cavity wall; the second, a much larger mass, surrounding his heart, aorta and esophagus. It has been quite the battle for him and a significant disruption to the family over the last 6 months.
A loyal employee of Presbyterian Homes, Chris has been working in the Engineering Department at the Timber Hills location since 2012. He is the proud recipient of more than a dozen Shining Star Awards - employee recognition for outstanding customer service. Chris loves his job and the residents he serves. He knows nearly every resident, their backgrounds, ailments, hobbies, interests and most of their family members by name. He has received hundreds of cards, letters and well-wishes from the residents, staff and co-workers of Presbyterian Homes and admits his determination to fight his cancer is strongly fueled by the support of his “Family at Pres Homes”.
A 30+ year resident of Cottage Grove, MN (formerly Roseville) Chris loves the outdoors – particularly fishing with his daughter and son in-law as well as hunting with his son. Chris and his family are strong supporters of the community. They have generously donated to many charities and fundraisers, volunteering their time to events in the Metro Area.
Chris has been on a leave from work since October 2018. Sudden loss of income combined with medical expenses, the Knutson Family has suffered significant financial difficulties.
