As many of you know , the Hallock family headed to their new home in Michigan about a week ago. Unfortunately, four days ago they’re moving truck that had all of their belongings crashed… tipping over, causing significant damage. They were flown to Denver a couple days ago to begin the hard action of sifting through their belongings.  

Updated today from Erica :”estimate 90% of our items that weren’t in boxes or were in plastic totes (furniture, tools, lots of school items, toys, etc) are lost and 40% of boxed items were lost.
Many have asked about insurance. The moving company insures the load by total weight. Based on our past 2 days they are predicting calling this a catastrophic total loss and paying us the full insured amount. At this time I have no idea how much it costs to replace the lost items and if the insured amount will cover our losses. We have not signed anything at this point and are waiting on people smarter than us for guidance.
Now we are back to square one with a lot less stuff and are waiting to hear when they are even going to get our items heading to Michigan.

You , like me and so many love and will miss the Hallock family. They are a strong family with hearts of gold ! Without knowing what they’ll recover from the insurance , we can help them rebuild much of what has been lost , so they can begin to settle into their new home.
