The Arc Animal Sanctuary is a small animal rescue located in Lefkada, Greece. It is run entirely through donations given by kind, animal-loving strangers.

Started in 2019 by Charli Sotiriou, it continues as a one-woman operation on the ground in Greece. There is also a small volunteer executive that assists with the business side of things such marketing, adoption logistics, and managing finances.

Greek animals are some of the sickest. They all seem to get the flu regularly, and recently the sanctuary was inundated with numerous cases of parvovirus. This deadly virus has taken the lives of far too many Arc Animals this month, and Charli would never, ever just let them die without a fight.

Veterinary visits, especially those requiring overnight stays and surgeries, get expensive. Although The Arc has slowly built a strong Patreon base, and receives ad-hoc donations as people are able, there is no way Charli can afford to keep up the medical costs. Furthermore, she has to ration food just to get through the month, and that's unfair to the animals.
