Implementers United to Support Ukraine

As a first generation Ukrainian-American with relatives in Kyiv, I have been watching this conflict closely.  It is an unjust and unnecessary war.  My mother came to the U.S. when she was 16 having run from the Russians after WWII.  So this is not new to the Ukrainian people.  I was feeling helpless, sad, and scared after having dinner with my mom this weekend.  And when Jonathan Smith and Matt Foss reached out to see if I was interested in figuring out a way to support Ukraine, I said heck yeah!  We can always give to those in need either our time, our talent, or our treasure.  Time and talent don't work from here....so treasure it is.  Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.  Today is my mother's 78th birthday (3/7) so I do this in honor of her and of all Ukrainian people who have felt persecuted.

I loved the words of the Ukraine Library Association concerning the cancellation of their upcoming conference.  "We will reschedule just as soon as we have finished vanquishing our invaders."  That is the heart of the Ukrainian people.
