My name is Vernon, and I am currently facing the toughest challenge of my life—living with chronic kidney disease. My kidneys are functioning at just 9%, and my creatinine levels are dangerously high. Recently, I had to undergo two surgeries: one to place a Portacath and another for an AV graft, both necessary to start immediate dialysis. The physical and emotional toll of these procedures has been immense, but the financial burden is even greater.
Every day, I am balancing the costs of life-saving treatments, medications, and the basic need to keep a roof over my head. The expenses are overwhelming, especially as I wait for disability support to begin. Co-pays and medication costs add up quickly, and the fear of losing stable housing is a constant worry for my household and me.
I am reaching out for help because I believe in the kindness of others and the strength of community. Your support will help cover essential medical and living expenses during this critical time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference for me and my family. Thank you for considering a donation and for standing with us on this journey.
