Greetings! 

My name is Shyla Hill, and I hail from the Tournament Town Greensboro, North Carolina. As a proud first- generation student I attend the Illustrious North Carolina Central University, where our Eagle Pride is Amplified. I am studying Information Technology with a concentration in Cybersecurity. My aspirations in life is to go into the Cybersecurity Industry and Protect Systems from hackers and keep applications that we need in our lives safe. To be here as a first year in college is already a blessing. Learning about new skills every day and getting involved around campus is college life. I am so grateful to be in this position to come to college and pursue my dreams. 

 

After my first semester , I found out about the pageant world. I am proud to announce that I have been given the opportunity to compete in the 2025 Miss Omega Psi Phi Scholarship Pageant representing THEE  Mighty Tau Psi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. With this opportunity I will promote my platform “Educate My World.” I want to provide my community with the knowledge about the resources in our own community. Fostering the understanding that educating one in our community is how impacts are made and our community grows in positive ways.  

I am eager to make an impact in the Durham Community. I am willing to make change and encourage others to make change with me. Educating my community so it can be better is a true dream of mine and I will go by my visions to construct change.
