Let’s share her story in her own words She’s One Who Never Stops Talking and Smiling, so we may as well hear from her

“Hi Guys! Last week I reached out asking for all my prayer warriors to join together and keep me in their thoughts, hearts and prayers.

I honestly cannot thank everyone enough for how many people showed up. Whether it was a prayer, a hug, a text, a call, a meal, a ride, a What Can I Do message. I am probably one of the most blessed people in the world because I have so many people out there loving on me always and especially now in this time.

I have been going through quite the whirlwind over these last few weeks and just on Tuesday got the most surreal news to ever digest or process.. “you have stage 4 pancreatic cancer that has metastisized to the liver” ummm whaaaaat?????

But you know what, it’s ok. Because I am a warrior like my mom and I can do hard things and the battle has started and I am on the road to kicking ass and getting to the other side.

It is going to be a long, hard, uphill battle, but my faith will not waiver, (faith over fear), my attitude and mindset will remain posivite, and i have the BEST family, children, friends and my angel momma holding me up and keeping me moving in the right direction. My tribe will be by my side every step of the way..

A laugh, and a smile can change someone’s day, and that’s what we’re going to strive for everyday.

This next chapter is going to be filled with positive attitude, confidence, a strong mindset and lots of laughs.

Thank you for the bottom of my heart. Knowing I have real life angels surrounding me and my family, I can get through anything… and come out better than before.

Melissa has a heart bigger and more pure than anyone we’ve ever met. Her children and their happiness and joy is what brings her to life. They have a long road, a hard road, but with all of us by her side, we are going to get her to victory.

Every DOLLAR Counts - she is about to embark in a very aggressive treatment and she will need every dollar to help her from the mounting medical bills that will inevitably come to the mundane and obligatory bills that will have to be paid, and keeping her and her kids afloat while she’s fighting this battle.

Melissa needs to focus on beating Cancer while still being able to be the mom and provider for her children.
