Hola a todos, les saludamos desde Ecuador, somos Bryan y Naida papás de Mateito y estamos buscando apoyo para el tratamiento de nuestro hijo.
Mateo tiene 5 años, presenta un diagnóstico de Epilepsia Refractaria de difícil control, Microcefalia, Autismo y retraso en su desarrollo global.
Se han realizado diferentes tratamientos, los cuales ya no son suficientes para el control de sus crisis y el médico especialista sugiere como alternativa la utilización de otros fármacos o la intervención de un estimulador vagal, el cual es colocado mediante cirugía con un costo aproximado de 60.000 dólares en nuestro país.
Mateito necesita de un control medico constante entre ellos: examenes, medicación y rehabilitación en diferentes áreas. La cirugía sería de gran ayuda lo más pronto posible ya que las crisis que presenta a diario deterioran su desarrollo neuronal.
Realmente tenemos la esperanza de realizarle este tratamiento para mejorar la salud y el estilo de vida de nuestro hijo.

Hello everybody. We are from Ecuador. We are Bryan and Naida parents of Mateito. We are looking for your support so we are able to cover the costs of treatment for our son.
Mateito is five years old; his diagnostic is Refractory Epilepsy (which means that the medicine is not bringing the seizures under control), Microcephaly, Autism and Global Developmental Delays.
Our son has had different treatments so far but they are not enough anymore to keep his crisis under control. The specialist has suggested new treatments like the use of new medicine or the use of a Vagus nerve stimulator (sometimes referred to as a pacemaker for the brain); the cost of this surgery intervention here in Ecuador is of $60,000.
Mateito needs to be under a constant medical control like tests, medicine and rehabilitation in different areas. The surgery would be the most effective way for his wellness since his daily crisis is affecting his neuronal development.
We really have a lot of hope that we can reach this goal with your help so Mateito can have this available procedure done. It will hugely improve the health and life style of our son.
