We are asking for help in raising money to help cover medical expenses for treatment and expenses for our mother, Hilda Solis who was just diagnosed with Stage 3 Colo-Rectal Cancer. As medical expenses pile up, we wanted to lessen the burden of worry of the finances and allow her to concentrate on the journey ahead. Your generous donation will help with travel, chemo therapy, radiation therapy, surgeries and hospitalizations and support her on her way to a quick recovery. Let me tell you a little bit about our mother.
Growing up as a migrant farm worker traveling to Solidad California at the age of 15 she knew the key to her success would be education and hard work. She worked her way through college and met the love of her life watching him play tennis at UT Pan Am , now known as UTRGV. After graduating, she began her teaching career at Progresso Elementary School. Later moving to Weslaco ISD where she worked as a school administrator and facilitator and retiring after dedicating 36 wonderful years to teaching Americas youths.
As the journey begins we desperately need our fellow prayer warriors, act sisters and brothers to come together in faith and prayer to rid this cancer from her body. #endcancer.
We will continue to provide updates along her journey. We will be moving her up to Houston in the next two weeks to begin daily chemo and radiation therapy. Along with daily therapy she will have weekly labs and Dr visits for about 6-8 weeks. Surgery will be after and then another round of therapy to ensure all cancer is gone.
Thank You in advance for whatever help you can help with.
God bless.
