I developed bad tendonitis in my elbows oilfield trucking in northern B.C Canada (so bad it was difficult to get dressed in the morning) and took some time off work with vacation pay. I tried to return to work after a few weeks while still recovering and I herniated a disc in the base of my neck on feb 20th. It caused me to get something called cervical radiculopathy which is a pinched nerve in the neck that runs through the shoulder, chest and arm and is very painful and debilitating. On top of having extremely weak and painful elbows I was stuck in both neck and shoulder braces for some time, unable to lay on my back or even sleep without painkillers. The company I was employed at for 12 years decided to shutdown almost directly after I was hurt randomly and I havnt worked since. My injuries have healed a lot but I am still not well enough to work yet. Here in Canada our workers comp has decided to deny me coverage saying my injuries are out of the scope of my job duties after leading me on for almost 3 months. First time I've ever tried to get compensation for an injury and they screwed me. The word is they really screw over a lot of people up here like that, but they really had no reason to do that to me. I plan to get a lawyer to appeal it, (which to me is insane) but the process can take a very long time and may not even end up paying out.
I expect to be able to work again within a couple months, so any financial help you guys can send my way while im getting everything sorted out and recovering would be much appreciated.
Any funds donated will be in Canadian currency regardless of where you live, and will go towards my monthly bills/medical expenses like physio therapy, chiropractic treatment and massage therapy.
Thanks a lot everybody,
-Bill
