CJ's Physical Therapy
Donation protected
My name is CJ Powell and I am a T-4 paraplegic. I was injured over 3 years ago in a motocross accident. The accident left me without function or feeling below my injury.
I am currently a senior at the University of Colorado Denver. As a student, it's difficult for me to earn a significant amount of money at the moment.
As can be seen from the video, my weekly therapy sessions are very important to my physical and mental well-being. The only issue is that the sessions are all out-of-pocket because insurers are unwilling to pay for this service (at the moment). This is mainly due to a lack of awareness in regards to the benefits of this service for a spinal cord injury victim.
I'm not usually the type to ask for a handout, and I am not. This campaign is intended to be a source of temporary assistance as I work to finish my schooling and find a solid job. When I am able to, I intend to take every penny that was raised in the campaign and donate it directly to the spinal cord injury community.
It would mean the world to me if you or anyone you know could donate even a couple dollars towards my desire to remain healthy and driven post-injury.
If you would like to see more about my gym, visit scirecoveryproject.org.
Thank you and sincerely,
CJ Powell
