CJ's Battle with Cancer
Donation protected
Meet CJ!
He is a spunky, intelligent, active and loveable three year old. He loves trains, planes, cars and his twin brother Cooper.
On May 3rd, CJ was admitted to the hospital due to a rapidly worsening jaundice. After a quick ultrasound, a mass was found on his liver. The surgeons originally thought it was benign and decided on a complete resection of the tumor. The surgery was successful and CJ started to recover well.

A week later, the pathology report came back and showed that the mass was not benign, but was in fact malignant. The tumor on his liver tested positive for Rhabdomyosarcoma, a muscle cancer. The treatment needed will be long and hard. CJ will undergo 42 weeks of chemo with radiation following the first 13 weeks.
CJ's mom and dad are Conner and Tamela Nielsen. Conner recently graduated from dental school at Loma Linda and will start Oral Maxillofacial Surgery residency at UCSF Fresno. Tamela has loved being a mom to her two boys the last 3 years, and frequently takes them to children's museums, hikes, and their favorite parks, they love being outside!
With financial and insurance needs, Conner will keep his residency position at UCSF Fresno, while Tamela, CJ, and Cooper will remain in Loma Linda (4 hours away from Fresno) so CJ can receive his care.
How can you help? With weekly chemotherapy and Conner being away, they need help with necessities like groceries, gas money for Conner to visit, and every day living needs to help ease the burden for Tamela and the boys as they begin this new way of life.
Join us in letting CJ's family know how much we love them. Every dollar helps.
Even if you are unable to donate at this time, please share this campaign with your friends and community, Through Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Tiktok, or email, it really does help tremendously!
I will continue to update this page as CJ progresses through his treatments.
