Surgery for My Mom
Donation protected
Hello all,
This is Daulton, and in the Scharf family, we have been cursed with the genetic makeup that allows cancer to flow through our family tree. This curse has now affected us, my mom, Lisa Scharf. In March of 2021, the doctors first noticed a strange object in her annual mammogram, and immediately recommended that she come in for another in-depth mammogram and ultrasound. However, we as a family at the time decided to get vaccinated for Covid-19, and the doctors said we had to wait for the vaccine to go through moms system. 4 months later, too long of a wait for us, she was able to go back and the doctors confirmed that something was there that shouldn’t be, and a biopsy was scheduled. The biopsy showed the horrifying news that my mom has a radial scar in her left breast, and due to our genetic makeup and family history, it is the perfect breeding spot for breast cancer. The scar is larger than average as the doctors say and it needs to be removed as soon as possible. This is not the only bad luck we as a family are having. For the past couple months, my mom has been out of work and we have been living solely on what I make as a waiter at a restaurant down the street. And I have been glad and honored to support my family as I should be doing, but I can only work so many hours in a week and make so much money. Sadly, not enough to pay these ridiculously expensive medical bills as well as our livelihood. Our insurance is covering practically nothing, and with school starting for me and my mom still waiting for a position to open for her, there is no way that I can finance this potentially life saving procedure on my own. So this is where I come to you; asking, begging, and praying that we can somehow come up with the funds for this surgery. If you are reading this and you know my mother personally, you know that she is the first person to help, and the last to ask for anything back. But now is the time where she needs help the most. Please, any amount is greatly appreciated, and will go a long way into making this as easy as a process it can be for my mom. Also, please share this link with anyone you feel would be willing to help.
Thank you and God Bless,
Daulton Scharf
