Hello all, we very suddenly lost my brother in law CJ on March 13th. While he was going through a hard time getting back on his feet, we didn't expect to get a call from the Wichita Police notifying us that he had passed away yesterday evening. His brother Chris (my husband) and I are handling the arrangements and trying to organize when a memorial service will be. We're hoping to raise around $10,000 to help his two children that are still under 18. The kiddos' mom, our amazing sister in law Liz, is focusing on the children right now. We are trying to help in anyway we can to relieve her burden. The kiddos have now lost their father unexpectedly and are grieving. Even while facing hardships, CJ was a wonderful father, caring and doting. His kids meant the world to him and they were what was motivating him every day. Unfortunately, like many young families, there were no contingency plans in place and no life insurance to cover final costs or create a buffer going forward. All money raised will go to Liz and the kids. Our hopes are to give them financial help to get through this storm and have whatever is left over as a rainy-day/emergency fund for the future. Thank all so so much. Any little bit is greatly appreciated.

CJ is survived by his eldest son, daughter, youngest son, brother, grandfather, father, mother and numerous aunts/uncles/cousins.

He was preceded in death by baby sister Stormie, grandmother Vicki, uncle Rick and uncle Calvan.

Mermorial service is being arranged in Las Animas CO on Saturday April 13th. Details to follow.
