Urgent Help Needed: Get Mohaned and his kids out of Gaza
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Matt, a british national who used to work in Gaza. I have many friends who have gone through terrible situations and are struggling to survive the current war. One of these friends is Mohaned, who used to work with me, as the driver for our organisation. Mohaned would welcome me to Gaza every week, with a smile and a grin and chatting to him with my broken arabic was a highlight of my day, hearing about his life at home with his wife and kids.
Tragically, at the beginning of the war, Mohaned's wife was killed by an airstrike, leaving him to look after their two kids alone.
I wish more than anything to be able to help Mohaned in anyway I can, please contribute to his fund if you in anyway can.
Mohaned's story in his own words:
To all compassionate souls,
I hope this message finds you well. I come to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help that I never imagined I would have to make. Yet amidst the horror, chaos, trauma and suffering that I have been living for 8 months in Gaza. I am writing these words while my heart is burdened with despair, fear, and uncertainty.
My name is Mohanned Abu Msameh, a Palestinian father in Gaza, my world was shattered when my beloved 30-year wife, Rana, was taken from us in a merciless airstrike. Her loss, amidst the genocide unfolding around us, has left me shattered, struggling to be both father and mother to our two young children, Wadee and Sila, aged 5 and 3.

Despite it has been difficult to do both, I am still doing my best. It has been so hard for me to cope with that, especially with that question that I always receive from my lovely daughter, Sila, who keeps asking, "When will Mama come back to us, Dad?"
The memory of Rana, my beacon of hope, fuels my determination to seek refuge elsewhere.
For this reason, I am reaching out to you today, humbly asking for your support in helping us evacuate Gaza and find refuge elsewhere. The funds raised through this campaign will go towards securing the cost of crossing , transportation, temporary shelter, and the basic necessities that we need to rebuild our lives in a safer environment.
Leaving behind the place we once called home will not be easy, but it is a sacrifice I am willing to make in order to ensure the safety and well-being of my children.
With your generosity and compassion, we can take the first step towards a brighter future, free from the constant fear and uncertainty that have plagued us for far too long.
If you cannot donate, please share our story.
Together, we can give my children the hope they deserve.
Thank you for your kindness and compassion.
With deepest gratitude,
Mohanned Abu Msameh
Mohaned plans to leave using an Egyptian travel agency called Hala. This is the only way out of Gaza. The prices change but it should be $5000 for and adult and $ 2500 for a child. The breakdown in costs is below
- 1 adults and 2 children will cost $1000
- Expenses in Gaza until evacuation - $5000
- Transportation & resettlement - $10000
- Education and psychological healthcare for the children - $10000
- We are budgeting an extra amount to cover fees and transfer charges to Gaza - $3000
All of the money will go directly towards helping Mohaned and his family.
