Dear Family and Friends,

Greetings! I pray that this letter finds you and your family well. I am currently enrolled in nursing school at Columbia International University. The CIU School of Nursing’s mission is to prepare nurses to humbly serve and care for others in their time of need while modeling a Christ-centered compassion and empathy. The Lord has been so faithful! This summer God has given me the opportunity to live out this mission by going on a school sponsored medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic with Mission of Hope, not only to further my education but also to join Him in His work there. On May 28, I will be departing for 7 days to work alongside local churches to meet healthcare needs in communities through mobile medical clinics. I will also get the opportunity to share the gospel while delivering much needed high quality health care.

The trip is being funded entirely through donation. Everything that will be used on the trip must be taken with us. This includes all medical supplies, medicines, syringes, bandages, etc. The cost of the trip is approximately $2,500 per person. Every donation collected will be used to directly benefit the people of the Dominican Republic.
