Friends, we find ourselves at the beginning of an exciting adventure. To the end of fostering a connection between God and His people, we write songs and sing them as a way to facilitate an atmosphere for such an encounter to happen. God loves to meet with His people, and we love to meet with God.
In recent months, we’ve prayed for, dreamt about, collaborated on, and poured into music and songs with this intent in mind. We’re inspired and we celebrate how far God has brought us in the journey, but we’re not immune to the financial pressures that accompany a project of this kind. Many musical artists begin the journey of creating an album with the partnership of a record label. We, however, are not one of those artists :) And so, we’re inviting you to join us, invest with us, and become our record label.
It’s impossible to deny that music and the arts change the way we think, feel about, and see the world. From Hollywood to Music City, from Broadway to the Information Highway, from brilliantly lit stages to brightly colored iPhones, artists shape the world. We believe God is calling artists to share HIMSELF to the world through the works we create. This is the idea that drives the creative energy of CityWave artists. The canvas doesn’t matter, every medium - song, dance, painting, written word, spoken word, etc. - has the power to inspire and point people to God.
At this point, all the while hopeful for new beginnings, we’re excited to share with you all... friends, family, our faith community, and all of you we’ve not yet met, but certainly hope to, the release of our upcoming album titled “MOVE.”
CityWave Sounds is the house worship band at CityWave church. Like a wave that moves and changes the landscape of the shore, CITYWAVE is a movement of people who bring the hope of Jesus to change the landscape of lives for good. And when we are changed for good, we impact the world for good. We exist to encourage people to make their next “MOVE” with God.
With your help, we can raise the necessary funds for pre-production, our producer, studio time, additional instruments & artists, mixing, mastering, printing, artwork, etc. We will also use your support to help cover costs for our album release event called "MOVE:" A Night of Music & Faith Stories, where we will be joined by NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers Michael McDowell, Trevor Bayne, & Sam Hornish, Jr. These guys will be sharing about how God is moving in their lives and encouraging us all to make our next move with God. Any funds raised beyond the $25,000 goal will go towards the mission of CityWave, a new church located is the west suburbs of Chicago. Our mission is to be inventive in an acts of love and good in the hope that lives are changed for good, in Jesus name.
With the release of “MOVE,” We hope to point people towards God, and inspire them to make their NEXT MOVE with Him. We’re hopeful and expectant that God would meet us in this adventure, and, in turn, share Himself to many. Please, consider helping fund our project.
