I am Kat, Founder and Executive Director of City Embrace Counseling and Resource Center. We are a young, non-profit organization that provides free expressive art therapy, english classes and vocational training to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.

 We have spent the last 20 months in Roatan, Honduras providing our students with the resources needed to become financially emancipated from violent situations.

This particular fundraiser is so that we can continue to keep our center open for 2017. Despite the demand, we are in danger of having to close the center for lack of funding. We are a certified charity, and each donation is tax deductible (a receipt will automatically be sent to you).


All of our classes and services are free to our students and very much in demand on the island. We know this because our center in Roatan is currently at capacity. With 35 children under the ages of 13, and 22 adults attending our center regularly, in addition to the over-50 people who have already gone through our center and the waiting list of people who want to join, it is imperative that we not only keep our doors open for 2016, but also expand our current space.
