We are the City of St. Augustine Pipe Band!
We are a bagpipe band with a mission of spreading the rich culture of Highland bagpipes and drums throughout the greater St. Augustine area.
Our goal is to form a competitive pipe band which focuses on providing the best opportunities for education to our membership in bagpiping and drumming, while representing the Ancient City.
Starting a bagpipe band is not an inexpensive venture!
We are a non-profit organization with a fully volunteer membership, so anything helps!
What we hope to achieve:
- Form a succesful competition pipe band that travels for competition throughout the east coast
- Create a curriculum which allows for long term free bagpiping tuition through the greater St. Augustine Area
- Spread the appreciation and recognition of our amazing pipe band community to others
- Spread awareness of the Scottish history of St. Augustine (like Governer James Grant, Laird of Ballindalloch)
What YOUR donation will help provide
- Purchase of complete uniforms
- Complete set of drums for our drum corps
- Reeds, sticks, and all the details that make a pipe band work
- Chanters and training materials to assist with starting our tuition program
- Funds to pay for workshops, tutors, etc to bring the best possible education to our membership and students
