City of Refuge is a Christian film project born from a deep desire to address some of the most challenging topics facing our communities today—death, sinful natures, and broken homes. While these themes have been explored in Christian films before, our team feels particularly called to approach them in a way that is both God-honoring and family friendly, without shying away from the gravity and realism these stories deserve. We believe that faith-based films can inspire hope and healing, but we also know how important it is for these stories to reflect the real struggles people face every day.

My own background involves growing up in disenfranchised communities and experiencing the pain of broken homes firsthand. Whenever I watch faith-based movies, I am inspired, but I often wish they felt a little closer to the realities I know. That’s why this project is so close to my heart. God has blessed us with a talented team that has worked at every level of the film industry, including successful theatrical releases like The Forge and hit TV series such as Yellowstone and Law & Order. With your support, we can create a film that is not only engaging and relevant, but also true to life and crafted with the highest quality.

We feel very much called by God to complete this film. We plan to move forward with any skill and resources available to us, but we know that to truly do this well, we need the help and support of believers and those who understand the power of the Gospel told through the arts.
