City High T&F Nike Nationals Trip - Hotel

The 2023 City High Track & Field team enjoyed a historical season! Six school records were broken throughout the season, and the team finished 3rd as a team at the Track & Field State Championships! Here is the list of school records broken:

1. High Jump - Matt Schaeckenbach – 6-11 (#17 in nation)

2. Shuttle Hurdle Relay - Matt Schaeckenbach, Isaac Washpun, Dominic Roe, Austin Rindels – 59.84

3. 4x800 - Ammon Smith, Ayman Noreldaim, Ford Washburn, Truman Thompson – 7:37.66 (State Record, #2 in nation)

4. 3200m - Ford Washburn – 8:54.04

5. 1600m - Ford Washburn – 4:05.53

6. 800m - Ammon Smith – 1:51.90

Matt, Noah, Ammon, Ayman, Ford, and Truman will travel to the Nike Outdoor Nationals meet in Eugene, Oregon at historic Hayward Field to compete against the best high school athletes in the nation! Our staff is confident that they have worked hard enough, and performed at a high enough level to become outdoor All-Americans at the high school level. The strong sense of community we have felt throughout the season was incredible, and helped the athletes perform at this level all season!

The trip will require travel expenses, hotel accommodations, and other miscellaneous costs for the 3 day event. We are hoping to raise enough funds to help our athletes out. Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated and used to help the athletes be comfortable on their trip, and confident to compete at their highest level. Thank you to our Little Hawk community!
