It is with deep heartfelt sorrow that we share the passing of our City Ambulance Service Teammate, Paramedic Jose Ambrocio Ramon, who passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 56 in Taylor, TX.
Jose dedicated 25 years of his life to serving others as a Paramedic. With City Ambulance Service, he brought compassion, skill, and steady leadership to every call he responded to. He held an Associate of Applied Science in Emergency Medical Services Technology from the University of Texas and carried a wide range of certifications, including advanced cardiac and pediatric life support, airway management, medication administration, and critical care. Jose was fluent in Spanish, a certified CPR Instructor, and a mentor to countless colleagues throughout his career.
Beyond his profession, Jose carried a deep sense of responsibility and devotion to his family. For 22 years, he took on the role of caring for his mother-in-law, showing the same selflessness he brought to his patients. He was a loving husband to Tanya, a proud father to four grown children, and a devoted grandfather to two grandchildren, one six years old and the other only three months old. He enjoyed time with his family, shooting pool, and collecting knives and jewelry. In honor of his love for pool, his ashes will be made into a pool ball, a unique and lasting tribute to his life.
Jose will be cremated, and his family is planning a celebration of life service in December. Sadly, Jose did not have life insurance. With his wife’s blessing, this private GoFundMe has been created for his peers at City Ambulance Service, and StaffDash to help support Tanya and their children during this difficult time. All contributions will go directly toward covering the expenses for his cremation and celebration of life, and to help provide stability for his family as they navigate this painful loss.
If you are able, any amount will make a difference. Please keep Jose’s family in your thoughts and prayers as we remember him not only as a skilled and compassionate Paramedic and co-worker, but as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed.
