WHAT WE DO
Each year, Citizens Advice Bromley helps give thousands of people the knowledge and confidence to find a way forward. We do this by providing advice, education and support, and influencing policies and practices that affect our clients. Our impact data helps us better understand the effect our advice has on people’s lives, and the difference we make to local communities. In 2019-20, over 80% of the people we helped said their problem was resolved following our advice.
Our service saves society money. In 2018-19 the advice Citizens Advice delivered nationally directly saved government and public services at least £435 million - that’s £2 for every £1 spent on the service.
We (Citizens Advice Bromley) are independently funded relying on the support of our volunteers. Our funding does not cover all the costs to provide the service we do.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
With the cost of living crisis, right now, the demand for our services from every age group is greater than ever.
What would you do if…
The bailiffs were knocking on your door while you no money for food and heating
Or you were too ill to work and your benefits were cut?
Or you have no food to feed your children ?
Or you faced losing your home after redundancy or loss of income led to mounting debts?
These are some of the things that have happened to our clients. With a local Citizens Advice office in the community, you (and your friends and family) have somewhere to turn – four in ten people have used Citizens Advice at some point in their lives.
