My name is Shane, and I am raising funds to help pay for my cat, Citabria's emergency medical bills.

Citabria (Gato) has been wrought with a series of intense ailments over the last two months. He has stopped eating and drinking and has elevated liver enzymes. He's lost over 3 pounds and is on the edge of critical condition.

We've already spent 3 nights in the ER, and as of today, he's been admitted again. We are currently over $8,000 in expenses to keep my best friend healthy.

He hasn't been diagnosed with anything terminal at this point, and he is being strong and brave, but we do not know what the future holds. I am humbly asking my friends, family, and the online pet community as a whole to chip in.

Gato has been my best friend since I rescued him in 2018. He's been such an important part of my life and helped me through the rough patches of finding sobriety. I've never asked for help like this, but a family member suggested it.
