Cirugía para extirpar un tumor

¡Hola a todos! Estamos comenzando este GoFundMe para un amigo misionero en Tailandia, Antonio (Tono) Porras. El necesita cirugía para extirpar un tumor entre el riñón y el hígado.

El y su familia han estado trabajando en Tailandia durante los últimos tres años dirigiendo un orfanato para niños desplazados de Myanmar, además de brindar servicios y recursos educativos a niños de bajos ingresos en su comunidad.

El año pasado fue muy difícil para él y su esposa Kelly, ya que tuvieron que pasar por muchos problemas médicos. En julio del año pasado, Tony se infectó con Covid y tuvo que ser ingresado en un hospital local en Tailandia durante 8 días debido a una neumonía.

La recuperación fue lenta y causó problemas secundarios.

Le diagnosticaron trombosis venosa profunda y estuvo muy cerca de perder la vida una vez más. Se sometió a muchas pruebas y tratamientos médicos y pudieron deshacerse casi por completo de los coágulos.

A través de una de las tomografías realizadas, encontraron un tumor del tamaño de una manzana que presionaba algunos de sus órganos principales. No se pudo hacer nada al respecto debido a la medicina anticoagulante que estaba tomando, pero ahora que está casi libre de coágulos, puede someterse a la cirugía.

Ellos no tienen seguro médico y cualquier ayuda para pagar la cirugía sería una gran bendición y ayuda.

Tienen un estimado para la cirugía de alrededor de $10,000.

Hi everyone! We are starting this gofundme for a missionary friend in Thailand, Antonio (Tony) Porras. He is in need of surgery to remove a tumor between his kidney and liver. They have been working in Thailand for the past three years running an orphanage for displaced children from Myanmar, as well as giving and providing education services and resources to low income children in their community. The past year has been very difficult for him and his wife Kelly as they had to go through a lot of medical scares. In July of last year, Tony was infected with Covid and had to be admitted to a local hospital in Thailand for 8 days due to pneumonia. The recovery was slow and caused secondary issues. He was diagnosed with Deep Vein Thrombosis and was very close to losing his life once again. He underwent many medical tests and treatments and they were able to almost fully get rid of the clots. Through one of the CT Scans done, they incidentally found a tumor about the size of an apple pushing on some of his major organs. Nothing could be done about it due to the blood thinning medicine he was taking, but now that he is almost free of the clots he can undergo the surgery. They don’t have medical insurance and any help given to pay the surgery would be a blessing. They have an estimate for the surgery to be around $10,000.
