Help Circe (Dragon) Beat the Odds to Recover From Stoke
Donation protected

Hi, I’m Zia Soleil (Sinclair), Circe’s (Dragon’s) life partner of 40 years. Circe desperately needs your help to get specialized treatments not covered by the VA or Medicare to recover from a catastrophic Hemorrhagic brain bleed. We believe a full recovery IS possible. Brian Mangan/Circe is an Army Veteran and a visionary artist, the painter known as Dragon Sundancer. If you know Circe, you know them to be one of the kindest, gentlest, and most creative of human beings. Please help Circe walk and paint again!
On June 1, 2024, Devi came to get me in the kitchen and RaeAnn, a retired nurse, said to me, “It’s a stroke, honey,” words that I’ll never forget. Within hours, Circe had been airlifted to Tucson. Tom drove me the two hours to Tucson, and I stayed by Circe’s side all night. I’m grateful beyond words that Circe didn’t die. Sadly, almost 75% of victims die. A hemorrhagic stroke is when a blood vessel bursts and bleeds into the brain, causing severe damage.
Thankfully, the neurosurgeon said we wouldn’t need him to perform surgery as the blood was being reabsorbed. It was good to hear the doctor say, “Circe will recover, I guarantee it!”
Circe had no movement of the right leg or arm, didn’t eat, and could barely speak. Slowly, recovery began. With faith, hope, and love, it continues. Friends, family, and strangers from all over the globe—Bhutan, Australia, Canada, Europe, most every state, and our nearby neighbors—have been praying, chanting, and sending healing energy. We know prayer works! But in addition to prayer, if Circe is to truly recover, more therapy, not available in our rural county, is needed. I have located therapists in Denver for the treatment Circe needs. The costs are reasonable, but insurance doesn’t cover it.
- Circe will be seen every day for a month to start. We will need to stay in a hotel that has a handicapped room. Travel is expensive, but it’s our only hope! Circe also needs equipment like a wheelchair rack for the car, a leg brace, etc. After Denver, we will travel to California to see Suprabha Jain, M.D. at the MT DIABLO INTEGRATED WELLNESS CENTER. I have been borrowing money to pay for treatment, but it isn’t enough. Please, I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, donate whatever you can; no amount is too small. Send prayers, healing energy, and money! Blessed Be!
