Please help the Ciolli family in this time of need. Luke, their second-oldest son, Fairbanks Ice Dogs player and West Point commit has been diagnosed with a mass in his brain and will be having surgery next week. The following is from his mother Jill: Buckle up, it’s a long one...
So as many of you know, Luke has not been feeling well for the past 2+ weeks. We went into the ER for the second time in a week because he was just not getting better and his doctor said to go there for additional testing. His biggest complaints were headache and vomiting. They drew blood and did a CT Scan. Every parents worse nightmare came true. The doctor told us he had a mass in his brain. They then went on to do a MRI to get a better look at it. They are fairly certain it is benign, but of course until it’s taken out and tested we won’t know  .

We saw the neurosurgeon this morning. Luke will have surgery to remove a fluid cyst and a hard mass on Wednesday morning (tentatively). It is located on the cerebellum in the back right side. When everything goes smoothly, he hopes to rejoin the Ice Dogs in Fairbanks after the new year. Please keep Luke and our family in your prayers. We will all surely need them!
