Hello friends, my name is Shelby and I’ve put this fundraiser together for my sweet 9 year old Pit Lab mix named Cinnamon. If you know me, I’m never one to ask for help, I’m usually the one giving my time and energy to others ( which I love & enjoy doing ) 6 months ago I lost my soul dog named Sprocket (Cinnamon’s Dad) , he was 10 years old and was in stage 4 kidney failure. It happened very quickly and I had no option of getting him treatment to help his condition and prolong his life. Fast forward to the first week of April, Cinnamon started showing familiar signs of what Sprocket had gone through. She refused to eat, started drinking excessive amounts of water, trying to hide in weird spots around the house. She was totally not her normal happy, toy chasing self. I waited a few days to see if it was just a belly ache or something minor, but my gut was telling me to get her to the vet. She had some bloodwork done and it has come back that she is in stage 2 kidney failure meaning she only has about 30% of kidney function. While this is still in a treatable stage it’s going to be a very expensive treatment plan. She now has to be on long term prescription medications, prescribed supplements, and prescription dog food. The thought of there being treatment for her to live a longer happier life but having it just slightly out of my reach financially is absolutely heartbreaking to me and I can not imagine having to put her down after losing her dad six short months ago. I’m asking for any help you’re able to give, every amount is greatly appreciated, big or small it will help me keep my sweet girl alive , healthy and happy. I know times are tough so even if you can share this or say a little prayer for Cinnamon we would love that. Thank you all so much for helping me give my girl a fighting chance.
