Cindy's Stem Cell Transplant
Donation protected
In November 2015, while having dinner with her family on Thanksgiving Day, Cindy Avallone Wright suffered a sudden, debillitating stroke.
Her left side completely paralyzed, Cindy was facing the biggest challenge of her life. How would she work, and raise the 12 year old grandson that lived with her full-time? How many 63 year-old women (or men) could raise a 12 year-old, and work full-time, with two good arms.......not to mention with just one arm, after having a stroke?
Amazingly, after months of hard work and therapy, Cindy was able to regain some of the function on her left side. Tragically, her left arm and hand still remain useless.
But, there is hope! Cindy has been approved for stem cell treatment, which could restore the use of her left arm and hand. Here are some links to articles that describe this treatment, and outcomes, better:
Stroke Fact Sheet - California's Stem Cell Agency
Stem cells can be safely infused in brain to promote stroke recovery, study finds
Stem cells shown safe, beneficial for chronic stroke patients
The cost for this treatment is $14,000.
Obviously, a working grandmother raising her grandson doesn't have this lying around!

We, the family and friends of Cindy Avallone Wright, ask that you please give whatever you can to help. No donation is too small....every cent gets us closer to Cindy's goal.
The sooner we can raise the money for this stem cell treatment, the sooner Cindy can enjoy a more normal life, while she provides for her family, free from the devastating effects of her stroke!
