Hello, my name is Angelique Martineau. I am Cindy Darby’s daughter. I am organizing this fundraiser in hopes to help raise money for my mother’s ongoing bills and treatment.

Early in the summer, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Since then, we have discovered that it has spread to other parts of her body such as her lungs and lymph nodes. She now has to undergo intense chemotherapy and radiation out of town starting September 5th, 2023, and will also need an ostomy bag after treatment. The money that will be raised will go towards her expensive medication required for treatment as well as transportation, accommodations, and personal bills while she is on medical leave. After intensive chemotherapy and radiation, she will require soft chemotherapy in town.

Cindy is an only child. She has 2 biological children and a partner of 8 years. However, she is a mother at heart to many.

Cindy is a strong, caring and compassionate person who goes the extra mile to help anyone in need. Whether that be someone she knows or even a complete stranger. Her contagious smile and warm demeanour shines wherever she goes.

My mom has been such a huge role model in my life and has shaped me into the women I am today. She has taught me to love with an open heart and expect nothing in return. Without her, I wouldn’t be standing where I am today. She has given me the drive to reach for the success I crave in life. She is my role model.
