This past January my mother Cindy was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. For those of you who know her, you know that she is an optimistic woman with the power of positive thinking, and keeps strong on her basis of unshakable faith. 

To say this past year of treatment was a test of that faith is an understatement. After 14 weeks of chemo, a lumpectomy turning in to a radical mastectomy with the removal of 13 lymph nodes, and 6 weeks of daily radiation, her faith was tested further as this past September she was in a car accident; which left her with a torn pectoral muscle, a severe blood infection, and it left her car nearly totaled and unable to drive. 

My mom still faces another 6 months of triweekly chemotherapy treatments and continuous testing, as well as other reasons for doctors visits that is requiring weekly drives in to Boston. After missing 4 chemotherapy treatments due to her car being unable to drive, she’s had to recently pay for some risky fixes to make the car somewhat drivable; every day facing the realization that the car is unsafe. 

The unexpected costs of fixing her car has put her in a tough financial situation at an already tough time of year. 

My mom has always been an incredibly giving person, and now in her time of need, I ask you to please consider that any donations would be an incredible act of kindness in which she and the rest of our family would appreciate beyond our words to express. Anything to help her in taking away the unnecessary worries as she continues to fight her illness.

Additionally, prayers and a shout out to root her on would be much appreciated; going through treatments during COVID has proven to be an incredibly isolating experience.
