Cindy was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in 2023 and faced it with extraordinary courage. After months of treatment, she believed she was finally in remission. For a moment, she and her husband, Nick—an Army veteran—were able to breathe again and return to the life they loved together.
But early in 2025, everything changed.
Doctors discovered a new and aggressive type of breast cancer that had already metastasized to her brain. Cindy fought it with all her might. When chemotherapy began losing effectiveness, her medical team attempted a more direct approach by placing a port on her skull for targeted treatment. Even with these efforts, nothing could prepare us for how quickly the cancer progressed.
On March 18, Cindy passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her husband and the family who adored her.
Cindy was a truly special soul—someone whose kindness radiated effortlessly. She had a remarkable way of making people feel cared for and understood. But above all, she cherished the life she built with her husband and their two beautiful corgis, Fredrick Bits and Franklin Bits. Traveling together, exploring new places, and creating memories as a family brought her endless joy. Her corgis were her constant companions, and she adored them with all her heart.
As her husband and loved ones navigate this heartbreaking loss, we are raising funds to help ease the financial burdens left behind. This includes:
• Medical expenses, including critical care that insurance denied but should not have
• Funeral, cremation, and memorial ceremony costs
• Support for Nick and family as they adjust to life without Cindy
• Care for her two beloved corgis, who were such an important part of her world
Any contribution—no matter the amount—will make a meaningful difference. Your generosity will help Cindy’s family focus on grieving, healing, and honoring the love she poured into every part of her life.
Thank you for keeping Cindy, Nick, the Family and her corgis in your thoughts during this profoundly difficult time.
