Friends and colleagues,
It has been a difficult year for one of Reagan's own, special education paraprofessional Cindy Izydor. In January Cindy underwent emergency abdominal surgery to remove a tumor and nearly lost her life. Recovery has been a slow and challenging process full of many setbacks. All the while Cindy awaits her next great obstacle, that of defeating cancer. Those of us who know Cindy are aware of her commitment to the students of Reagan and the skill with which she performs her job. Cindy is the mother of two teenagers, Annie and Danny, who were just a few weeks ago able to finally welcome their mom home from the hospital. Needless to say it has been a tough year for her family. Cindy is a very proud, confident, and capable woman who is up for the challenge of undergoing chemotherapy and I have little doubt she will come out victorious. In the meantime, I humbly request that the Reagan family rally around one of our own, and lend some much needed financial support. Cindy stopped receiving pay when her sick time expired months ago. While we look forward to welcoming her back in the near future I know that she and her family are in for a rough summer and greatly in need of assistance. Please take this opportunity to lend a helping hand to a great person, educator, and friend, further solidifying the strength and resolve of all that is Reagan IB HS.
Sincerely,
Eli Kelley
